September marked the end of the monsoon and it was time to bring out your best from your wardrobe again. Who made the cut and who missed the mark? In our monthly roundup we bring you the best and worst dressed celebrities of September.
Shazahn Padamsee's trendy ensemble evokes much outfit envy. We love the jacket, the edgy shoes and the fact that finally, FINALLY we get to see Shazahn in something other than a teeny, weeny dress
Well, at least now we know what Sussanne Roshan will be wearing at Halloween parties next month
Priyanka Chopra looks fantastic in this lacy number, but it's her pumps that have got us salivating.
Unfortunately, Priyanka's 'Barfi!' co-star Ileana D'Cruz has much to still learn. Her dowdy suit distracts from her lovely face
Shibani Dandekar outfit is the right mix of oomph and elegance. We especially like the sparkly jacket and the sheer top that puts the sex in sexy.
Poles apart is Shibani's sister Anusha, who looks like she escaped from the circus. Don't get us wrong, we love a fair bit of colour, but those bleached tips, headchain and shoes take away from what could otherwise have been a fun, hippie look.
Alia Bhatt rocks the colour block trend in this mustard top and blue skirt. Most importantly, we think the look is so age appropriate for her and is completed perfectly by punk nailpolish and beaded bracelets.
Singer Neha Bhasin's outfit nearly made us choke on our own spit. And if the neon shoes, the ill fitting dress and that pose weren't bad enough, that purple lipstick sent shudders down our spine.
Preity Zinta looked pretty in this black number with a part peplum and those pink shoes added some pop to what would otherwise, have been a very severe look
The otherwise, always spot-on Sridevi hit a low point with this dull coloured sari and blouse that overwhelmed her
We're dying to beg, borrow or steal the skirt seen here on Lisa Haydon. And those shoes too!
In this dress that looks like it was inspired by the tackiest bouquet available in the store, Feroze Gujral looks like a large corsage we wouldn't touch with a barge pole
Sarah-Jane Dias looks incredibly sexy (think 'Mad Men') in this cheery yellow dress and nude pumps. We're not crazy about the tassled bag but it's hard to nitpick when she looks as great as this
It's a case of clear accessories overload on Rani Mukerji here, who pairs one too many things with her maxi, that's already in a busy print
Also sexing up yellow is Esha Gupta, who looks great in this tulip hem dress. We particularly like the embellishment around the chest
We knew we'd jinxed it as soon as we said it. Rocking yellow, NOT, is Maria Goretti. The puffy shoulder adds bulk to her frame, the length of the dress makes her seem shorter and let's not even get started on her decision to pair THOSE shoes with this dress
Also looking red hot was Bipasha Basu in this floor length outfit. What's the 'Raaz' behind how good the actresses from that film look?
Looking more heroin than heroine was Angela Jonsson at a recent event. The dishevelled hair, heavy liner and boots with that dress were meant to look edgy, but it only looked like she'd stumbled into the party after working the street for hours
We unsure about what's most exciting about Kajol's outfit - the delish colour of the dress, the way she's wearing her hair (older actresses are always about severe updos or straight down) or the cool punk nailpolish she's wearing
Mallika Sherawat looks so mumsy (read: boring) here that we almost miss one of her raunchier outfits. Well, almost.
Kareena Kapoor looks like the kind of present we'd look forward to at Christmas. We also love how the red lips perfectly go with this sparkly number
Sameera Reddy looks 'madame' with this silky jacket and gown resembling a nightie. And we don't mean that in a good way.
Deepika Padukone looked statuesque in this elegant outfit. Two thumbs up!
Jiah Khan outfit screams Barbie-Gone-Bad. The ill fitting bodice and the pouffy hair don't do her any favours either
Dia Mirza's dress would have been entirely ho-hum, if not for those shoes that entirely elevate the outfit. We love!
Miss, where are our dimsums? Oh dear, it's you, Gul! For a moment there we thought it was our favourite waitress from the local Chinese joint
It's always a surprise to see Malaika Arora-Khan wearing more than just a metre of fabric but when she does, she sure does clean up nicely
Aiming to be a vision in white but failing miserably was Manisha Koirala, who seemed like she was choking in her ski suit turned anarkali
Another girl we were glad to see in something other than a body-con dress was Sonal Chauhan, who glammed it up in this sparkly jacket teamed with hot pants and a causal camisole
A little mix and match goes a long way, but Sonali Bendre skipped that lesson. Not one element of her outfit compliments the other and the result? A train wreck on an ensemble
