The controversy surrounding the banned Kamal Haasan film 'Vishwaroopam' seems to be largely unjustified, with no clear evidence that the movie actually denigrates any community. It is a hard time we live in, when a film can be banned for exercising its right to freedom of speech. If we don't do something about this, we could have problems.
For instance, most of the big Bollywood blockbusters this year could run into trouble as well. Here are some movies that could face the banhammer, with funny reasons why. And if you think these are crazy, remember that banning a movie is crazy, too.
Special 26: Will be banned after a petition from all the other numbers, asking why 26 is special
Murder 3: Emraan Hashmi will bring a lawsuit against this film for not being the leading man, and thereby causing a drop in the worldwide number of on-screen kisses. We've got to ban a murder film without the serial kisser!
Shootout at Wadala: All the other localities of Mumbai (except Lokhandwala) will sue this film series for leaving them out
3G: Will be banned after A Raja complains that the movie ignores 2G, the technology that made him infamous (and a billionaire)
ABCD: People who hate dancing (nerds, heavy metal fans, Dharmendra) will seek a ban for this film that claims that Any Body Can Dance. Maybe the guy here too.
Zanjeer: Everyone who's seen the original film will seek a ban for the new film. We haven't forgotten Ram Gopal Varma ki Aag
