Bad: Vijender SinghIndian boxing star Vijender Singh crashed out of London Olympics after his loss to Abbos Atoev in the quarterfinal. Vijender who had won bronze at the Beijing Olympics failed to recreate the magic and went down 13-17 to the Uzbek opponent.

Bad: Abhinav Bindra The Beijing gold medallist was once again a favourite to win but failed to qualify. Though, Narang went on to win bronze for India, it would have been a double delight if Bindra had been in the running.

Bad: Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa The women's badminton doubles saw India medal hopefuls Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa vie for spot in the final. Though the duo put up a valiant fight, they were still ousted from the competition. Controversy marred their exit, but the Badminton World Federation refuted the accusations of match-fixing.

Bad: Deepika Kumari Currently the world's number one archer, Deepika Kumari went into the London Olympics with her head held high. But her display was disappointing as she failed to progress in the individual women's event. Her team, which boasted the likes of L Bombayla Devi and Chekrovolu Swuro, also failed to make a mark.
