Indian wrestler Sushil Kumar made the country proud by winning a silver medal on the closing day of the London olympics 2012. Kumar's silver made him the first individual athlete from India to win back-to-back medals at the Olympics and ensured the country's sixth medal at the London Games, its best ever performance in the sporting extravaganza. His first medal came at the Beijing 2008 Games, where he bagged a bronze.
