According to the monthly Mobile Handsets Market Review for 1Q 2012 report released by CyberMedia Research India, Nokia has emerged as leader in the overall mobile handsets markets in terms of sales. Coming in at number two was Samsung. The South Korean brand captured 14.1% of the total mobile handset sales segment and is the market leader in smartphone sales. In the first quarter alone, the company launched seven new smartphone models, thus cementing their place firmly at the top in this segment
Micromax figured at number three in the total mobile handset sales segment, with 5.8% of the market share. (In picture: The Micromax A52)

Meanwhile, Research in Motion, makers of the BlackBerry phones, came in at number three in the smartphone segment with 12.3% of the market share
