Harda : Police arrest two women who were part of the the 'Jal Satyagrah' in Narmada river at the Khardana village in Harda district on Wednesday.

The protesters have been in water and are demanding compensation and rehabilitation for villagers whose homes will be submerged under water after opening the gates of the Indira Sagar dam in the state because of rise in water levels of the Narmada River. The protestors say the government's decision to increase the water level of the Indira Sagar without rehabilitating people living in low lying villages is a violation of a court order, which says villagers must be rehabilitated at least six months before such a move is implemented, according to news reports.
