26/11 Mumbai terror attack accused Ajmal Kasab has had a series of lawyers representing him. We take a look at all the men and women who have acted as defence lawyers for Kasab:
Apr 1, 2009: Advocate Anjali Waghmare was the first in the long list of lawyers chosen to represent Kasab. She was removed as Kasab's counsel after it was discovered that she was representing a victim of the Mumbai terror attack in another case. Because this presented a case of conflict of interest, she was removed and replaced by advocate Abbas Kazmi.

Apr 16, 2009: Abbas Kazmi, who was appointed as the lawyer for the gunman, had earlier defended persons accused in the 1993 serial blasts case. In November 2009, Abbas Kazmi was asked to stop representing Kasab after Judge M L Tahiliyani observed that he was 'not co-operating' with the court in the interest of justice. Kazmi even went on to star in the fourth season of reality show, Bigg Boss, but was the first contestant to be eliminated.

Dec 1, 2009:K P Pawar was appointed the new lawyer for Ajmal Kasab. Pawar was given 'Z' level security cover after he replaced Abbas Kazmi. He was provided four armed guards round the clock and a police jeep.

June 8, 2010: Amin Solkar and Farhana Shah were appointed by the Maharashtra State Legal Services department to take up Kasab's defence in his appeal against the death penalty awarded to him by a trial court in the November 2008 terror attack.
September 20, 2011: Raju Ramachandran was appointed to defend Ajmal Kasab in the Supreme Court. Kasab had filed a petition in the apex court challenginghis death penalty. A trial court had sentenced Kasab to death on five counts in May 2010. The Bombay High Court had later upheld the sentence.
