When the two decided to celebrate the success of 'Zanjeer' in London, Amitabh's parents wanted the pair to get married before leaving on a trip together and so they married in 1973.

The couple was blessed with a boy December 2011.
Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna: Nobody thought that Akshay, a Casanova, would settle down with any woman and much less with Twinkle, with whom he was engaged to twice! After a brief courtship, they married a year later in 1958. Although society found their union hard to swallow as they had played mother and son onscreen, they managed to move past all that and lived a happy life until Nargis' death in 1981.
