Shilpa bagged the position of first runner-up in the contest, but after winner Urvashi Rautela was disqualified for lying about her age, Shilpa took her place and will now represent India on a global stage

She is a passionate dancer. She says, 'I dance when I'm happy, when I'm sad, and when I'm angry. It’s the best channel for me to express my feelings and emotions'. Her gown for the Miss Universe finale has been designed by Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor
