Indian skipper MS Dhoni's brilliant double ton against Australia has not only made him the first Indian wicketkeeper to achieve this feat in the history of Test cricket, but he's also the first Indian keeper to complete 4,000 Test runs. Dhoni's magnificent 224 was studded with sixes and fours and surpassed Sachin Tendulkar's record of 217 against New Zealand in 1999.

But in walked captain cool MS Dhoni and scored a blazing 224 that helped India immensely. The skipper led his team well in this series, taking home the Border-Gavaskar trophy.

His stunning knock is also the highest score by an Indian captain against Australia. The previous record was held by Mohammad Azharuddin, who scored 163 (not out) in 1998.
Dhoni is the fourth Indian captain in Test history to score a double ton. The others are MAK Pataudi, who made 203 against England, Sunil Gavaskar's 205 against West Indies and Sachin Tendulkar's 217 against New Zealand.
