India: The inaugural event which was hosted by South Africa in 2007 saw India go on to clinch a nerve-wrecking final against arch-rivals Pakistan and win the T20 trophy. The tournament will be remembered mostly for Yuvraj's 6 sixes in an over to the bowling of Stuart Broad and also Chris Gayle's thundering century in the first match.

Pakistan: The 2009 event was hosted in England and the subcontinent emerged victorious again, as Pakistan bagged the coveted trophy after defeating Asian lions Sri Lanka in the final. Though Sri Lanka were the favourites to win the tournament, it was Pakistan who finally had the last hurrah.

England: Though the English are credited with creating the game of cricket, they're remarkably bad at winning ICC tournaments. But in 2010, Paul Collingwood shut all their critics up when the team won their first ever T20 title, defeating rivals Australia in the finals held in the West Indies.
