Now we all know that the whistleblower act of Arvind Kejriwal has not gone down well with Salman Khurshid. The law minister courted another controversy with his statement that it is time to replace ink with blood. Khurshid dared Kejriwal saying,"I have been wielding the pen for a long time. After I was made the law minister, was told to use the power of the pen. But now it's time for blood. Kejriwal is welcome to visit Farrukhabad, but how will he return?" He later retracted his statement saying he has been misquoted.
To make his point, Khurshid also quoted lines from a poem, 'Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai, dekhna hai zor kitna baazu-e-kaatil mein hai' (The desire for sacrifice is now in our hearts, we shall now see what strength there is in the boughs of the enemy.)
This poem has been quoted by many of our politicians on different occasions. Take a look!
