The breathtaking Delhi Durbar tiara is currently on display at an exhibition at Buckingham Palace to mark the Queen's diamond jubilee
The tiara was first worn in 1911 by Queen Mary to celebrate the coronation of her husband King George V as King and Emperor of India
The Maharani of Patiala had also presented Queen Mary a necklace to mark the first visit to India by a British Queen-Empress
Since then, it has been worn by several monarchs, including Duchess Camilla, wife to Prince Charles
The new exhibition at Buckingham Palace shows jewels collected by six monarchs over three centuries
