SALWARYA: This is still considered by many as the mother of all break-ups. The Ash-Sallu love story can put any Bollywood masala movie to shame in its unflinching adherence to the ‘formula’. The tale had ‘drama, tragedy, romance, action and emotion’ in liberal measures. It had a dream beginning (Miss World-meets-Mr Handsome) but went awry and ended in an anti-climax, with both the parties agreeing to live happily ever after (without each other, of course!).
Karishek: Abhi and Karisma, when they got engaged on the 60th b'day of the iconic Amitabh Bachchan, were touted as the 'golden couple of Bollywood'. The reason for the break-up is still a mystery! He is rumoured to be seeing Nargis Fakhri these days.
Preitness: The two hogged the limelight together and the chirpy Preity with her cool business tycoon boyfriend painted the town red. Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia went all out declaring their affections in rather mature fashion, quite like Saif-Kareena but minus the arm-scribbles. After some initial rants of Bipasha to a tabloid, John broke his silence on Simi Selects India’s Most Desirable where he took complete responsibility for the split. “I’m solely responsible for it. I didn’t want to get married, maybe one day I would, and I’ll take everyone by surprise. We’ve given closure to the relationship as I didn’t match up to the relationship, I was not ready to commit when the relationship needed culmination,” John admitted on the show.
