Bio

Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi (West Bengal INC Lok Sabha Raiganj 64).He was educated at Raiganj College, Distt. Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal and Calcutta University, Calcutta, West Bengal. He completed his M.A., LL.B. His professional life has been that of a consultant, advocate, sportsperson, and political and social worker. From the 1970 onwards he is the member of All India Congress Committee (A.I.C.C.). From November 2005 onwards he has held the position of Minister of Information & Broadcasting; Parliamentary Affairs. He has written a couple of novels and poetry. Literary Artistic & Scientific Accomplishments: Editor, "Dakhinee Barta"—A Bengali Magazine. He is also the Chairman, Legal Committee, Asian Football Confederation (AFC); President, All India Football Federation since 1988;Vice-President, Indian Olympic Association; Member, F.I.F.A. Standing Committee.
