Rahul Khullar is the secretary in the ministry of commerce. The post of commerce secretary was held by GK Pillai who has been appointed as the new Home Secretary. Rahul Khullar is a 1975-batch IAS officer. Prior to his appointment in the ministry of commerce, Khullar served as the secretary of the Department of Disinvestment. The IAS officer from the Union Territory cadre, Khullar has offered his service as an Additional Secretary in the Department of Commerce. During his tenure, Rahul Khullar handled negotiations related to the Doha Round of world trade talks.
