Randolph Mantooth (born September 19, 1945 in Sacramento, California) is an American character actor, best known for his work in the 1970s medical drama Emergency!, as paramedic John Gage, alongside Robert Fuller and Kevin Tighe. He is also known for his work on the E! Network\s program Talk Soup alongside host John Henson, and for appearing in various soap operas starting in the 1980s. Mantooth, who is half Seminole, attended San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, California. He graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts after high school. His role on Emergency! as John Gage first shot him to stardom in 1972, and he played the role from 1972 to 1979.
