Dubbo, Crocs, the Outback...

“How tough is it going to get for he Roadies?” this is the first thing that hit me after we were done with the shoot in Dubbo, I know these people are going to start playing safe and that will only end with them with their head in lions mouth. The Roadies have no idea what is in store for them, as the elimination goes on the game is only going to get tougher, The roadies think that since they are in the top 5 its all cool and smooth sailing, they have this notion because the top 5 get the Karizma, they know about this only because we started giving bikes to the top 5, when I ask them how far do you want to go in Roadies, they will either say “mujhe jeetna hai” or “bas, top 5 mein aana hai”.

For me the top 5 Roadies mean nothing it’s just a hype created by the Roadies themselves. It is just going to get tougher and tougher because now, as these guys star focusing toward the elimination there is going to be a lot of mind games that they will have to worry about, immunity and money is defiantly going to be a part of it all, but the mind games is what will really test the roadies strength. Like I said, they have no idea what is in store for them in Australia, there are a lot of things in the outback that are not so friendly.

The problem is people think of Australia as a country and not a continent, and where we are shooting is the Outback of Australia where there is no sign of civilization for miles and miles, the outback is 1000 miles of nothing and it is here where you find animals and insects that you really don’t want to come in contact with, and if you think that there are croc in Dubbo, I’d just like to tell you that, there are no crocodiles there, we had to get them from somewhere else and it was not easy, we could get them only from people who had a license and who had an idea about what they were doing.

Crocodiles are a part of Australia, we try to incorporate an lot things that reflect what the location is about like we do always, like the dance that we made the Roadies do in Rajastan, it is a part of the culture there, similarly we had task in Dubbo which were culture oriented and tells people more about the place, the Australians are the outdoor types, they are very physical, you will never find them sitting at home watching T.V, they will be out doing something or the other, let it be rugby, rock-climbing trekking they are into all that, its is their culture so it was a must that we had to have a task like rugby, and trust me I felt it was the best thing we ever did, this task really made us see how people react to different situations, like Palak tried moving backwards, Paulomi tried moving slowly and slyly but Samrat, this was amazing you could see how he made his fear his strength and ran, he was so determined to get that touch down, he kept his eyes on the line and just ran for it, that is pure Roadie spirit it was amazing.

Now this task was not as dangerous as the croc pit task that we had set up, none of the task are safe but we make sure that we can reduce the risk involved, and all this happens because of the crew, all the crew members tried out the rugby task and as for the crocodile pit, I must say that Bumpy was just amazing, see Bumpy is like my protégé, he is just like me in a lot of ways, I can even tell you that he is physically better than me because I don’t exercise , he is no doubt bigger than me but when it came to performing this task he put his foot down and said I am the captain I lead this team and I will do this task, most of the risk is involved in the task is taken care of when decisions like these are made. There are times that there are mishaps that takes place but things like these happen and is all up to ones fate. Its with a crew that we have that just makes the whole journey so exciting and worth every second of the viewers time

I am very disappointed with the show this time. I feel all the deserving roadies have left the show. The spirit of the show and the morale boost i get watching the show is no longer there

i don’t understand why people here don’t see that there is no use commenting on who to bring back or who to eliminate since its been months since the show has finished and the roadie has won.
