Shahid Kapoor’s father is actor Pankaj Kapoor of Karamchand fame and his mother is actress and classical dancer Neelima Azeem. His parents are divorced. His stepmother is actress Supriya Pathak. He has a half-sister Sana and two half-brothers, Ishaan and Ruhan. Ishaan acted with Shahid in the film, Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi (2005). Shahid studied first at Gyanbharati in Delhi and later at Rajhans Vidyalaya in Mumbai. As a child, Shahid starred in the ad for Complan along with Ayesha Takia.
