Bio

Suresh Krishna (Born: 1956) is a popular director of Tamil Films. He was initially Assistant to K.Balachander and used to assist him in making films. He has directed films in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi. His first independent film was Sathyaa- however he found fame in Kavithalaya's Annamalai- a Rajnikanth starrer. Since then he has scored hits such as Veera and Baasha- all Rajnikanth starrers. However in the recent years his films have not done well in the box office. He has worked with all the Megastars of Southern Industry, namely Rajinikanth, Mohanlal and Chiranjeevi. He is married to Abhirami in 1985- who used to work for Indian Airlines but retired as of 1991. Suresh Krishna's brother in law is Comedy Serial Producer and Director Venkatesh- known as 'Cable venkat'- the father of actress voiceover queen Deepa Venkat who is Suresh Krishna's niece. Ravi Krishna is no relation of Suresh Krishna.
