Sushil Kumar Modi is Deputy Chief Minister of Indian state of Bihar. He is the leader of BJP legislature party of Bihar. He has been a member of the Lok Sabha from Bhagalpur before and has served both the party and the state well. Currently, he is an MLC and holds a range of portfolios, prominent being Finance. June 2008, there was secret ballot by MLA and MLC of Bihar; in which a simple majority favoured of continuing him as Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar. Positions Held 1990-2004 : Member, Bihar Legislative Assembly (Three Terms). 1995-96 : Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party. 1996-2004 : Leader of Opposition, Bihar Legislative Assembly. 2000 : Minister, Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Bihar. 2004 : Elected to 14th Lok Sabha.
