About Tigmanshu Dhulia

Tigmanshu Dhulia is an Indian film director, actor, screenwriter, and casting director. He is well known for directing critically acclaimed films like Paan Singh Tomar and Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster. He is also known for his portrayal of Ramadhir Singh in Gangs of Wasseypur.   Dhulia, who has his roots in the hills of Uttarakhand, was born and raised in Allahabad, where his father was a judge at the Allahabad High Court and a secretary of the Students’ Federation of India. His mother was a professor of Sanskrit. The youngest of three brothers, he attended St. Joseph's College and Anglo Bengali Intermediate College, then Allahabad University where he majored in English, Economics and Modern History.
