In 2002, Tusshar made his debut in the film Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, where he starred opposite Kareena Kapoor. He starred in Kuch To Hai and Kya Dil Ne Kaha, both films produced by Balaji Productions. The comedy, Kyaa Kool Hai Hum (2005) was a major box office hit. Tusshar shared screen space with Ritesh Deshmukh in this flick. In 2006, he starred in the multi-starrer comedy Golmaal which did reasonable business at the box-office and his potrayal of the mute character Lucky remains his best ever. Tusshar Kapoor is the son of Bollywood actor Jeetendra and Shobha. His sister Ekta Kapoor, heads Balaji Productions and is also known at the 'Soap Queen'. Tusshar completed his graduation in India and did his MBA from the University of Michigan, USA.
