Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) is a playboy cum engineering genius. He goes to Afghanistan to demonstrate a new missile and is captured and wounded there. His captors insist that he assemble a new missile for them. But Tony creates an armoured suit and uses it to make his escape. On returning home to the USA, he makes an announcement that his company will stop manufacturing weapons. He begins work on an updated armoured suit when he finds out that his second-in-command, Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges), has been selling the company weapons to the insurgents. Watch Tony use his new suit to destroy the arms sold and stop Stane from misusing his research.
