Ajay Sharma (Ajay Devgan) lives with his widowed mother Asha (Aruna Irani) in Bombay. After completing his college his friend Raj Sinha's (Akshay Kumar) maternal uncle asks for his birth certificate to make his passport. When he is searching for that he finds that he is not getting the one and at the same time his mother tears a paper and throws it. He feels something strange and when he puts the papers together, he finds it to be his birth certificate which states that his real name is Ajay Malhotra and his father Dr. Ravi Malhotra is still alive. His father is in prison for killing and stealing a patient's organ. Ajay swear's to avenge his father's humiliation.
