Roshni is the adopted daughter of the famous journalist from Bangladesh, Abir Choudhury. Roshni dreams of having a life of her own, her own family, away from this torture. She is in love with Ranjan, a singer from Kolkata and wants to be with him. Ranjan influences Roshni , to leave her home and come over to India , on the day of Bijoya Dashami, when there is no barrier between the two countries , on the day of this festival. Roshni takes this chance and crosses over to India. But Roshni does not get to meet Ranjan , who she thought would be waiting for her, instead , she meets Shayan. Shayan is from Taki and is an engineering student, who is in love with Titas, his childhood friend.
