Young and ambitious musicians from across the country will battle it out again, in the second season of the music talent show, Bharat Ki Shaan. To be aired on National, the show will have singer Usha Uthup and music director Ismail Darbar playing mentors as well as judges and Manoj Tiwari will host it.
A musical war between metros and non-metros, the show aims to focus more on talent rather than looks and antics. Gajendra Singh, the brain behind the show, says, “The competition between the metros and non-metros would be something that audiences would look forward to.”
Reflecting on the different format of the show, Ismail, says, “It is not about participants coming, singing and going. I want them all to be stars in the horizon.” And joining him on the judges panel is the versatile singer Usha. She says, “I am on Bharat Ki Shaan because it will bring talent from all corners of the country and will be aired on Doordarshan.”
