The 2011 Clydesdale Bank 40 tournament is the second season of the Clydesdale Bank 40 limited overs cricket competition for the England and Wales first-class counties. In addition to the 18 first-class counties, Scotland and the Netherlands take part, as well as the Unicorns cricket team, formed of players who do not have first-class contracts. The competition consists of three groups of seven teams, from which the top team from each group, and the best second-placed team out of all three groups, progress to the semi-finals. The groups are allocated randomly.
