The Secret Circle is the story of a few American teenage supernatural girls living in a fictional city called Chance Harbor. The protagonist Cassie Blake (Britt Robertson) moves to the Chance Harbor after the death of her mother Amelia to stay with her grandmother. While at her school, her classmates Adam Conant (Thomas Dekker), Diana Meade (Shelley Hennig), Faye Chamberlain (Phoebe Tonkin), Melissa Glaser (Jessica Parker Kennedy), and Nick Armstrong (Louis Hunter) make her realize that she is a witch and the final member of their coven. Finding it difficult to believe, Cassie happens to find one of the books her mother had left behind her to read. The book encapsulated the realities of Cassie being a witch and why did her mother hide it from her for so many years. Nevertheless, Cassie and her friends complete the circle and soon find their powers attracting dark attention.
