The Amazon Kindle Fire certainly matches the Nexus 7 in terms of price and raw hardware, and it comfortably trumps the iPad mini on price and screen resolution. Being a little less in price it was a huge success for the non-brand conscious customers. Inspite of having iPad mini and Nexus 7 as competitors, it still stood tall and was a great gadget in the year 2012.
