Cong pulls up Digvijaya for criticising Mamata

last updated on June 18, 2012 at 6:02 pm Ibnlive

Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singh has been pulled up by the party for criticising Trinamool Congress supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Digvijaya had criticised Mamata in an interview to Karan Thapar on Devil’s Advocate, saying there is a limit to which the Congress could take Mamata’s tantrums. Sources said that Congress told Digvijaya that he is not officially authorised to speak on such matters. The Congress’s action is clearly a sign that the party doesn’t want to antagonise Mamata.
