Girisha Hosanagara wins first Medal for India in Paralympics London

New Delhi, Sep 04 (ANI): Girisha Hosanagara Nagarajegowda won first silver medal for India in the Mens High Jump F42 event at the Paralympic Games in London. Girisha despite having impairment in his left leg, managed to sail over a height of 1.74m using scissors technique in the final to finish second. Iliesa Delana hailing from Fiji won the gold, while Lukasz Mamczarz of Poland settled for bronze. Delana who had finished on the same height of 1.74m as Girisha and Mamczarz, won gold on the basis of taking less jumps.
