Govt bans 3G intra-circle roaming

The telecoms ministry will tell carriers they will not be allowed to offer third-generation (3G) services through roaming agreements with one another in zones where they do not have their own 3G airwaves, a senior government official told Reuters on Thursday.

Haven't made any proposal on 2G pricing: Telecom Commission

The Telecom Commission meeting held today has not made any made any recommendation on 2G spectrum pricing, reports CNBC-TV18’s Siddarth Zarabi. The telecom secretary has saidthat the EGoM will take a decision based on TRAI's analysis. More to come.
