Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao was born 20 May 1983, he is popularly known as Jr. NTR in the Telugu Cinema Industry. The actor is an accomplished Kuchipudi dancer. NTR made his Telugu film debut as a child actor with Brahmarshi Viswamitra (1991) and Ramayanam (1997), which won the National Film Award for Best Childrens Film in 1998. Five years later he starred in a lead role with Ninnu Chudalani (2001). His notable filmography includes Student No. 1, Aadi, Simhadri, Yamadonga which were hits and have established himself as one of the leading actors in contemporary Telugu cinema.
Tarak is the grandson of yesteryears Telugu film super star turned politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. He was born to politician and actor Nandamuri Harikrishna and Shalini. Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna is Taraks uncle. Tarak attended his schooling at Vignan vidyalayam, and Intermediate at St. Mary's College, Yousufguda, Hyderabad. Tarak was trained in Kuchipudi, under Master Sudhakar and has performed dance stage shows at several auditoriums in Andhra Pradesh. Tarak was engaged to Lakshmi Pranathi, who is the daughter of Narne Mallika, the niece of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandra Babu Naidu on 1 April 2010. The couple got married on 5 May 2011 in a private ceremony held at Hyderabad International Convention Center.
The actor has worked in many films and has bagged a lot of success through films like: Yamadonga, Rakhi, Kanthri, Chintakayala Ravi, Adhurs, Brindaavanam, Shakti, Oosaravelli etc..
