BJP MLA Maya Kodnani will be in jail for 28 years as Bajrang Dal leader Babu Bajrangi will die in jail as both of them are convicted and sentenced in connection with Naroda Patiya massacre case which took place during the 2002 Gujarat riots.
Kodnani will serve 10 years in jail for her conviction under Indian Penal Code Section 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means) after which her life imprisonment under Section 302 (murder) and other sections, which is for 18 years, will begin.
