The film is a sequeal to Paranormal Activity 2. The story continues with Alice and her mother, five years after Katie kidnapping Hunter. Paranormal activity start to occur in their home when Katie and Hunter (now called Robbie) move into the neighborhood. A laptop is the main point of view in the film.
