People Like Us is a Hollywood drama directed by Alex Kurtzman. It is his first directorial debut. The story has been written by Kurtzman, Jody Lambert and Roberto Orci. The film has Chris Pine, Olivia Wilde, Elizabeth Banks, Michelle Pfeiffer, Mark Duplass and Jon Favreau in the lead. The music of the film has been composed by A. R. Rahman.
The film narrates the story of a struggling man who, after flying home to L.A. for the funeral of his estranged record-producer father, discovers that the will stipulates that he must deliver $150,000 in cash to a 30-year-old alcoholic sister and her 12 year old son, he never knew existed.
