Disney has released the first trailer for the next film from the Disney Animation Unit, Wreck-It Ralph. The trailer shows off a film that looks like a tribute to the history of video games over the past 30 years, from the 8-bit games of ‘80s arcades to today’s extremely realistic games. The trailer was just exclusively released on MSN, reports CinemaBlend. Video game aficionados will certainly have no trouble picking out some of the references that Disney has thrown in as the title character, voiced by John C. Reilly, hops from game to game trying to find a new home where he isn’t the bad guy. The main cast also includes Glee’s Jane Lynch, 30 Rock’s Jack McBrayer and comic Sarah Silverman. This film, is the 52nd in Disney’s official canon of animated films, and has been directed by The Simpsons and Futurama veteran Rich Moore. He admitted to being a big fan of Reilly’s since 1998’s Hard Eight. Watch the exclusive trailer right here.
