Vinod Dham (Hindi: विनोद धाम) (born 1950 in Pune, Maharashtra, India) is an Indian inventor and venture capitalist. Coming to India during Partition from Rawalpindi, Dham\s father joined the army as a civilian. Dham was born in Pune (across the railway station in Cowasji Hospital, says Dham) as his father was posted there[1]. Vinod completed his undergraduate education in Electrical Engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering. In 1971, after graduation, he joined a Delhi-based semiconductor company called Continental Devices. In 1975, he left this job and joined University of Cincinnati to pursue a masters degree in Electrical Engineering, where he specialized in Solid State Science.
