Yusuf Khwaja Hamied is son of Khwaja Abdul Hamied. He is the Chairman of Cipla. Chemical, Industrial and Pharmaceutical Laboratories, later known as Cipla, was founded in 1935. His father was the founder of the company. He was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. He finished his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Christ`s College, Cambridge. His close friends call him Yuku.
