Perhaps no other eminent business personality in India has drawn so much attention and invited so much controversy as Vijay Vittal Mallya. Once touted as the “King of Good Times” for his extravagant lifestyle, Vijay Mallya has of late come under some strict legal scanner. Well, he has been involved in some severe financial scandals since 2012. Vijay Mallya was arrested in the UK on the 18th of April 2017 and had been summoned to appear in the Supreme Court of India on the 10th of July 2017. However, he could not be brought to India as the legal process was underway in the UK. Talk about a dramatic life!
Finally, the Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on the 11th of December 2018 ordered United Breweries chairman Vijay Mallya’s extradition to India. This verdict is like a huge success in the case for the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the enforcement directorate (ED), which have charged Mallya with defrauding loans of up to, wait for it, Rs. 9,000 crore! OMG!
Not only is he the ex-Chairman of United Spirits Ltd, the largest spirits company in India but he also continues to be the Chairman of UB Group, an Indian conglomerate with interests in beverage alcohol, aviation infrastructure, real estate, and fertilizers among others. Vijay Mallya has been the Chairman of Sanofi India and the Chairman of Bayer CropScience in India for over 20 years, in addition to being the Chairman of several other companies. SMH!
And, like all the bigshots, Mallya tried politics too. Previously a member of the Akhila Bharata Janata Dal, Mallya joined the Subramanian Swamy-led Janata Party in 2003 and was its National Working President until 2010. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 2002 as an independent member.
To clean up his mess, a group of 17 Indian banks are getting busy collecting approximately Rs 9,000 crore which Vijay Mallya had allegedly routed to gain 100% or a partial stake in about 40 companies across the world. Plus, the IT Department and CBI are probing cases of financial fraud and money laundering against Vijay Mallya. Its gonna be a busy year for them. LOL!
Let’s sneak-a-peek into his future:

Vijay Mallya is passing through adverse planetary transits. Hence, the next two years will probably be the worst for him. Well, his extradition won’t make things any easier. Nope.
These miserable developments will increase his fear, anger and other negative emotions (duh!). Vijay Mallya may face separation from his near and dear ones. Obviously, there will be a sudden increase in emotional and psychological stress.
His physical and mental health is definitely going down. Vijay Mallya will be at his weakest. He will lose his peace of mind. And, financial problems are an obvious addition.
From October, transiting Jupiter will pass through the 12th house, where the natal Saturn and Rahu are positioned. The overall scenario in Vijay Mallya’s legal battle will be full of troubles complicating matters for him.
His natal Sun will be in dire straits due to the movement of Saturn and Ketu. In the coming period, his enemies will only grow in number (ouch!). The Indian government will not go easy Vijay Mallya. TBH, they shouldn’t. Hey, no hard feelings!
Vijay Mallya may even face imprisonment. He is unlikely to get any goddamn relief in the months to come. The Indian Government will be successful in getting him brought to book. The future for him isn’t promising at all, is it?
