Actor Kamal Haasan may be taking up the job of a full-time politician soon but he is an actor first. As he gears up for his political campaign he is wrapping up business with the cinematic world. Visharoopam 2, his next film, is set to hit the theatres and the film reportedly has been cleared for release.
Unlike its first instalment, Visharoopam had a relatively smoother sailing with the certification board. The film was submitted for certification at the censor board a few weeks ago and it has been cleared with a U/A certification. While the release date of the film has not yet been shared, the creators do plan on releasing the movie’s trailer soon. It has been speculated that the movie may see a Diwali release. The first sequel faced a momentary ban in Tamil Nadu, infamously alleged to have been brought by late chief minister Jayalalithaa for a pro-DMK statement made by Haasan in the film.
"That's not something that I can answer; it is Kamal sir's film. But I recently watched a cut of it and I have to say it is very action-packed and fast-paced. He is getting it ready, but I do not know by when it's going to release. However, it will hit screens this year for sure,” said Andrea, who plays one of the cardinal characters in the sequel.
Apart from this film, the star also has to wrap shoot for Sabaash Naidu and Indian 2 before he takes up his new role.
