Baahubali director SS Rajamouli and NTR Jr team up for the 4th time
SS Rajamouli is one of India’s most celebrated directors after his film Baahubali smashed the box office across the country. Fans are now getting excited about his upcoming films as the director has dropped hints regarding the cast of his next on social media. Rajamouli recently posted a groupie featuring Ram Charan Teja, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr and himself accompanied with just a winking face emoji. This was enough to send fans in a dizzy. Reports claim the pre-production for a film starring the two actors will begin in 2018. If rumours are to be believed, this movie is going to be a sports drama that revolves around boxing. And if these rumours are true, this marks a comeback to the genre after his 2004 blockbuster Sye.
Rajamouli has already worked with the two actors in past years and has delivered sensational blockbusters. Cherry and SS Rajamouli has earlier worked together in the director’s Magadheera in 2009. The film was a huge success and in fact, catapulted its leading lady Kajal Aggarwal into the foray of leading Tollywood actresses. Jr NTR and the director have collaborated thrice before.
Reportedly, Jr NTR will play a negative role in Rajamouli’s next film. However, official confirmation of the same is yet to come. Jr NTR played a negative role with Jai’s character in Jai Lava Kusa which released earlier this year and managed to impress the Telugu film Industry.
The upcoming untitled film will be produced under DVV Entertainments LLP Banner by DVV Danayya. Rajamouli’s previous offering Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is the biggest hit ever in the history of Telugu cinema. The movie even bagged the National Award as the Best Film and gave the director much-needed recognition across the globe.
Ram Charan is currently busy in his upcoming village based drama Rangasthalam 1985, directed by Sukumar. NTR Jr too is occupied with Trivikram Srinivas for an upcoming untitled film. Rajamouli’s film is expected to go on the floor by February 2018.
