Post the Pulwama terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, a war like situation arised between India and Pakistan. We all aware about the surgical strike that India carried out on Balakot and how it added to the tension between two countries. The feeling of patriotism is quiet high amidst citizens and keeping this in mind, Aditya Dhar (the director of Uri: The Surgical Strike starring Vicky Kaushal) and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have collaborated to make a film based on the recent Balakot airstrike by the Indian Air Force.
Reportedly, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali in collaboration with Bhushan Kumar’s T- Series have planned a film India’s Surgical Strike 2 that targeted the base of terrorist group JeM in Balakot. The makers have got Abhishek Kapoor on board, who’s last film was Kedarnath, to direct the film. And if reports are to be believed, the casting of the film on the Balakot surgical strike is currently on and several A-listers have shown interest in being a part of the project. The makers have claimed that this film will be a tribute to the fearless armed forces of the country and a little offering from the film industry to them and their families.
There is no official confirmation on the development of the film as representatives of both the filmmakers refrained from sharing any detail. They neither confirmed nor denied the news though.
As the makers haven’t locked down on any actor to play the lead in the film, we have suggestions which the makers can take into consideration.
At the trailer launch of his film Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW) the Bollywood hunk openly said that he would love to play Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman in reel-life. John would do justice to the uniform as in his last release Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran he was seen as an army officer.
The Sacred Games star is impeccable in every role he has played so far. Be it Badlapur, Manjhi: The Mountain Man, Raees, Mom or Manto, Nawaz has always been at his best.
We have seen the actor in different genres of films over the years. It’s time for him to play man in the uniform.
The rising star of Bollywood has been impressive with his performances in films like Sanju, Raazi, Manmarziyaan and not to forget his last release Uri: The Surgical Strike. Vicky will surely be an apt choice to play the lead in the film.
Ranbir is definitely one of the finest actors of this generation. It would be great to see Mr. Kapoor don uniform for the first time on the silver screen.
