Aamir Khan and Madhuri Dixit's Dil to have a sequel soon
Just in case you are a 90s' kid who's hooked to the era's Hindi films, chances are that you have also watched Aamir Khan and Madhuri Dixit's Dil. The romantic saga also starring Anupam Kher brought Madhuri an award for best actress at the 36th Filmfare Awards, and became particularly popular for its soundtrack, composed by Anand-Milind. Now that we are in an era of sequels and remakes, why should Dil be left behind?
āI had been planning to make the sequel to Aamir Khan and Madhuri Dixit starrer Dil for some time now. We have cracked a script and called it Dil Again,ā filmmaker Indra Kumar, who also directed Dil,Ā told DNA. A final star cast has not been locked yet; the makers are on a lookout for the right ones.Ā Kumar is presently also promoting his upcoming directorial release Total Dhamaal starring Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor among others, the third installment of the Dhamaal franchise.

Such was the national appeal of Dil that it had several remakes in other Indian languages. It was remade in Telugu as Tholi Muddhu and in Odia as Agni Parikshya. In Kannada, the remake was called Shivaranjini. The Hindi sequel, hopefully, will be loved no less.
