Rohit Shetty's love for cop films seems to be ceaseless! It began with Singham in 2011 which had Ajay Devgn playing a badass cop. In 2014, its sequel Singham Returns followed. Rohit's latest cop film Simmba starring Ranveer Singh, on the same lines of being a power-packed masala action comedy, earned great money as well as impressed the critics and the audience alike. Just with the release of Simmba, Rohit announced Suryavanshi, his forthcoming venture with Akshay Kumar. And now, we hear he is in talks with Salman Khan for a film of the same kind which will be backed by Sajid Nadiadwala.
"Rohit and Sajid have met a couple of times to not just discuss the possibilities of collaborating on a film with Salman in the lead but also on the content. Among the many ideas they have been discussed, one is a spin-off to the character of Devi Lal Singh aka Devil from Kick, Sajid Nadiadwala's successful directorial debut. The 2014 film had an open ending with Salman's character donning the khaki uniform. If the idea materialises as planned, it could be the take-off for Rohit Shetty's film," a source told Mumbai Mirror.

Salman as a cop unarguably reminds one of Dabangg and Dabangg 2. It can be safe to say that Dabangg was the film that initiated the 100-crore club trend in Bollywood, reinstating Salman's ability as a crowd puller. Knowing how Rohit Shetty plays around his genre well too, we're sure the collaboration will result in a huge entertainer!
