Ajay Devgn: I am too shy for politics, uncomfortable around crowds
Politics and Bollywood have had a prolonged connection. Ahead of the ongoing 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, a bunch of known faces from the film industry including Sunny Deol and Urmila Matondkar made their debut into the field. A film star turned politician might be on the advantageous side since the already established popularity helps. But not every Bollywood star thinks of himself as fit for a political career. One of them is Ajay Devgn.
"I'm too shy for politics. I am uncomfortable around a crowd; almost claustrophobic. Though I’m at ease in front of the camera, I’m an introvert otherwise," he told DNA. He was asked if he had any plans to venture into politics.

While he himself is not keen, Ajay has all good wishes for colleagues Sunny and Urmila and hopes for them to bring positive changes. "Also, I may not be able to justify my job. Politics is a people-profession. You need to constantly interact with those who have placed their trust in you. You can’t be a good politician if you are too shy to go out there and actually spend time on ground zero," he added.
Ajay has begun promotions for his upcoming romantic comedy De De Pyaar De. The Akiv Ali directorial stars Rakul Preet and Tabu alongside him. He will also star in the historical period drama Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior, along with Saif Ali Khan. SS Rajamouli's magnum opus RRR also stars Ajay. The film will mark also mark Alia Bhatt's debut down South. We hear Ajay and Ranbir Kapoor are likely to come together for a film by Luv Ranjan, on that he has been planning for a while.
With so much on his plate, he honestly doesn't need a retirement plan right now! ;)
