The Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in a cameo appearance in the blockbuster Simmba, is now all set to break the box office records in 2019 with his upcoming flick Kesari. The film is a period war drama which stars Parineeti Chopra opposite Akshay. Kesari is based on one of the most valiant battles India ever fought, the Battle of Saragarhi. It was just a couple of hours ago when both Akshay and producer Karan Johar treated fans with a making of the film video and now it looks like the movie has one more supporter from the fraternity.
Akshay's Good News co-star Diljit Dosanjh is doing his bit to throw his popularity in Punjab behind his friend. In an attempt to promote Akki's film, the sensational singer and actor bought Kesari badges and posted a picture of himself wearing one in red. He even got a few of his friends to wear the badge. Diljit took to Twitter to spread the word and urged fans to head to the theatres on 21st March 2019 to watch Kesari. This definitely comes as 'good news' for Akshay Kumar. Co-star ho toh Diljit jaisa!
While speaking about the film earlier, Parineeti spilled the beans on her small role and said, “It's a very cool love story that is woven into the story of the battle. I have a very small role in the film, but it is one of those films that I wanted to be a part of."
"It was one of those films where I didn't think about what is my screen-time,” she added. The movie is helmed by Anurag Sinha. You can watch this battle from March 12.
