Amitabh Bachchan's filmography increases with his birthday candles
Bollywood actors never age and Amitabh Bachchan is just an example of that with an increasing number of films in the pipeline at the age of 75 years. Today as he celebrates his birthday, ace director, Karan Johar announced his upcoming film, Brahmastra, starring Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Big B in a pivotal role. As the number of candles on Amitabh’s birthday cake increases, so does his filmography.
Karan Johar’s film is slated to be released on August 15, 2019 and will be directed by ‘Wake up Sid’ director Ayan Mukherjee. The first movie will be part of a fantasy trilogy as announced by Johar’s tweet.

While 2019 may be a long wait to see Big B in Brahmastra, the megastar has been appearing on silver screen as he hosts Kaun Banega Crorepati’s season 9. He will also be seen on the big screen with Umesh Shukla’s ‘102 Not Out’ to be released in December this year. Other projects in his kitty include ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ comprising of a star cast of Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Zaira Wasim. This will be followed by Akshay Kumar’s Padman which will see the elder Bachchan in a cameo.
Brahmastra, which will bring together Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt for the first time on screen, comes after Karan Johar went on a film announcement spree. He announced his collaboration with Akhsya Kumar on upcoming film Kesari 24 hours hours before this announcement.
