The rumours surrounding 102 Not Out star Rishi Kapoor returning to India next month has been refuted by the actor himself. There were a number of reports doing the rounds that Rishi, who is currently undergoing treatment in the US, would make a trip back to India. However, when media outlets contacted the actor regarding the rumours, he denied any plans to return in the near future. As for the actor’s health, reports said that is responding well to the treatment, however, the healing process is taking a bit of time.
Media reports quoted a source close to the Kapoor family as saying: "Rishi is homesick and very eager to return home. They have a wedding to plan. And he's counting the days. But he's not ready yet to return. His treatment is slow but steady. Hopefully, he can come home in a few months. But end of this month? No way!" Rishi Kapoor’s son Ranbir Kapoor is confirmed to be dating his Bhramastra co-star, Alia Bhatt and both of them have made several trips to the US to meet him.
The senior actor was visited by many celebrities during his stay in the States. Alia and Ranbir were among those who met him, along with Sonali Bendre and Priyanka Chopra. Rishi had gone to the US last year and had mentioned on Twitter that he had faced over 45 years of “wear and tear”. Many had speculated that the star is suffering from cancer, however, the family denied those rumours. The star requested his fans to not speculate. Rishi and Nitu Kapoor spent the new year in the US and celebrated the coming of 2019 with their children Ranbir and Riddhima. Among the others present were Riddhima's husband Bharat Sahni and their daughter Samara, along with Alia Bhatt.
